Landscape design · Front Range, Colorado

Outdoor spaces shaped for the way you live.

High Meadow designs, builds, and tends landscapes that belong to their place — gardens that hold up to Colorado weather and get better with every season.

Approach

A landscape is not decoration. It is the room of the house that happens to have weather.

Every project starts with the site: where the light falls, where the water wants to go, which views deserve framing and which need screening. The plan comes from the land, not from a catalog.

We build with materials that age well here — stone that holds heat, plantings that earn their water — and we stay involved after installation, because a landscape is finished the way a garden is finished, which is to say never, pleasantly.

Three disciplines, one continuous practice.

  1. 01

    Landscape design

Site study, concept, planting plan, and material palette, developed with you across two working sessions.

  2. 02

    Outdoor construction

Grading, stone, water, planting, and carpentry delivered by one accountable crew on one coordinated schedule.

  3. 03

    Seasonal stewardship

Spring and autumn visits that prune, adjust, and plan, so the landscape matures instead of merely surviving.

One project, told properly

A hillside garden in Larimer County

A fictional project narrative, shown to demonstrate how real project stories are structured at this package level.

01

Site and plan

A south-facing slope with strong wind exposure and a view worth keeping. The plan terraced the grade into three usable rooms and routed snowmelt into planted swales.

02

The build

Dry-stacked local stone retains each terrace. A steel-edged path links the kitchen door to the fire circle so the garden gets used in February, not just July.

03

Through the seasons

Planting favors natives that hold structure in winter. Stewardship visits each spring and autumn keep the terraces crisp while the canopy fills in.

Serious projects deserve a considered start. The brief takes about five minutes and shapes the first conversation.
